Devitalize the tooth to prevent the risk of extraction

Goal

Eliminate inflammatory and infectious processes within the tooth canals, thus preserving the natural tooth.

Procedure

The roots of the teeth are disinfected with specific irrigants and instruments capable of cleaning the canals. A rubber dam is always used and in most cases anesthesia is performed.

Results

Disinfection of the root canals and application of the filler allows the restoration of dental health. The tooth can then be reconstructed according to the best clinical indications

Insights

Generally the treatment does not exceed an hour and a half, but in some cases it can be prolonged or even divided into several sessions.

NO. The treatment is done with anesthesia which is reinforced according to the patient’s needs.

It is always good practice not to eat hard foods or put too much stress on the tooth during the treatment phase, waiting for a possible covering with a suitable restoration.
